Founders
We write first checks of $10,000 to $100,000 into pre-seed and seed companies, alongside the lead investor or syndicate you have already chosen. We do not lead rounds, take board seats or ask for special terms.
01
Relentless founders
People who have already done the hard, unglamorous version of the work before anyone paid them to. We read for pace, candor and how you talk about what went wrong.
02
A market that is turning
We like markets where a technical or regulatory shift makes a new company possible this year and not three years ago. Most of our attention is on AI infrastructure and applications, financial services, the future of work, and frontier hardware.
03
Proof you can sell it
Revenue is best, a signed pilot is good, a waitlist of real names is fine. A deck with none of those is still welcome if the founder story is strong.
04
A round where a small check helps
Our checks are small by design. They belong in rounds where a founder wants an investor who has sat inside private banks and family offices, understands how those allocators think, and can make the introductions when the next raise comes around.
What we write
$10,000to $100,000
Stages
- Pre-seed
- Seed
- Select Series A
We do not lead. We join rounds you have already assembled, on the documents your lead has prepared or on standard notes, and we do not ask for special terms.
- 01A decision within two weeks of a first conversation, including a clear explanation whenever the answer is no.
- 02Introductions to investors at the leading private banks and family offices, a network built during years at Citi and Morgan Stanley, when you raise your next round.
- 03A candid read on the parts of a raise founders rarely see: how wealth platforms evaluate a company, how allocations get decided, and what family offices want to hear.
- 04Follow-on participation in later rounds when we can, and an honest answer when we cannot.
From the first note to the wire, and what happens after.
- 01
Send a note
Use the contact form to send a short description, a link to a deck or memo, and the round terms if they are set.
- 02
A thirty-minute call
Within a week. We want to hear how you got here, what you have learned from customers, and what the next twelve months look like.
- 03
A decision
Within two weeks of the call. If it is a yes, we confirm the amount, sign the round documents your lead has prepared and wire.
- 04
The work
Introductions begin the week the wire lands. We check in monthly, and more often when you ask.
Questions
What check size should I ask for?
Anywhere from $10,000 to $100,000. Tell us the allocation you have available and we will tell you where we can land.
Do you lead rounds or price them?
No. We invest on the terms set by your lead investor or on standard SAFE or convertible-note documents.
What stages do you invest in?
Pre-seed, Seed, Select Series A. Our pre-IPO positions in later-stage companies come through private-bank allocations, which is a separate activity from our early-stage checks.
Do you invest outside the United States?
Not at the moment. We invest in companies based in the United States.
Will you sign an NDA?
Not before a first conversation. Like most early-stage investors, we see too many companies to make that workable. We do not share your materials.
How do you decide so quickly?
Small checks let us decide on the founder and the market without a long diligence process, and we think a quick, clear answer serves founders better than a slow one.
